Please join us in launching the 7th annual One Earth Film Festival and the 2018 Festival theme, “This Is the Moment.” Enjoy food and drink as you mingle with like-minded friends in an elegant setting, the sparkling, contemporary, LEED-certified Gratz Center at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
At the celebration, we will use this moment to focus on environmental justice, ecology and equity. You’ll have the opportunity to meet environmental leaders as well as filmmakers of our Festival’s official selections. Enjoy remarks by our keynote speaker Hawah Kasat, producer of Fly by Light. Our emcee, Wendy Williams, executive director of the University of Chicago’s Office of Civic Engagement, will guide us through a brief program.
We are also holding the One Earth 2018 Online Auction, which gives you the opportunity to conveniently bid at home using your computer or smartphone beginning at 3 p.m. this Friday, Feb. 23. The auction includes a variety of experiences and packages including dining, travel, wellness and more.
All proceeds from the 2018 One Earth Auction help underwrite 53 screening events and keep the majority of events free. Free events are a critical part of the mission, especially as we continue to engage underserved communities and youth.
We hope you participate in the Auction and join us at the Gala!
Gala Tickets are $75 per person in advance, and $85 per person at the door. The Fourth Presbyterian Church is at 115 E. Delaware Place in Chicago.
