Filmmakers Toast, 6-6:30pm: Join us online for a special make-at-home cocktail recipe (your choice: with alcohol or without) with drink blogger Dave Hudson, author of “A Year of Magical Drinking: Cocktails in the Time of COVID.” Then, toast from home with 10 of our filmmakers, who will share their vision of our planet in 2031.

Jenn White, host of NPR’s nationally syndicated show, 1A, will lead a riveting online conversation with three special guest filmmakers:

Guest Steve Bynam, senior producer of WBEZ's "Reset" program, will join us.
Tara Gupta, previous One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest winner and recent graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design will provide a welcome
Sue Crothers, Founding Director of the One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest (YFC) will introduce an award-winning film and filmmaker
The Noteworthy YFC 8-minute film "Greta," written, directed, and edited by 18-year-old Sofie Verweyen, will premiere. Sofie imagines Greta Thunberg's life and inner thoughts prior to her fame as an environmental champion, interweaving the dialogue of the film with direct quotes from Greta to create a dramatized story of the young activist.
Inaugural National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman will read her poem "Earthrise," in a beautifully produced video by The Climate Reality Project.
Tickets: $55 for the filmmaker toast + 10th anniversary launch party. Or, Give One, Get One for $110 and provide a ticket for someone in need.

All proceeds go to supporting One Earth Film Festival’s 10th anniversary season, so that we can expand accessibility to these change-making films and discussions.
